What is the break-even point for the developers? • Zone 7 representative is not present at these meetings. Zone 7 doesn't want trails,people, or recreation space adjacent to their properties. • What is background and history of plan? Who has the final say? • The citizens need to be part of process of developing plan • Notices of the plan should be posted on telephone poles • Plan should take into account hospitals, doctors, lines at grocery stores,parking at BART • Quality of life for long-time residents has eroded through the years as Pleasanton has grown • Hiking trails and parks near lakes will be dangerous • Strong opposition to plan �. • fake the concerns identified at these meetings as an opportunity and shelf the plan • Elected officials need to represent citizens • School enrollment and traffic models can be manipulated to derive whatever conclusions are desired • City Council appointed EPSP Task Force members 3 years ago and it consists of peers of residents, who have met over 20 times in meetings open to the public and have incorporated reports done by experts into their recommendations • The planning process should be respected • The current zoning is not what people want and residents won't want the State to tell the City what to build • BART'parking lots are full at 6:30 a.m. • Development should have short walking distance to amenities and be designed "green"with roof-top gardens and gray water systems • According to Census data, the percentage of people working and living in Pleasanton is declining: in 1990 it was 26%,in 2000 it was 19.8%, and in 2010 it was 15.4% 7
