Memo October 15, 2010
• Pipeline Segment 2 — Pipeline Segment 2 from the Tassajara Creek Crossing to Fallon
Road in Dublin Boulevard is not currently in service. The audited expenditure for
Segment 2 is $1,260,288.
• Pipeline Segment 3 — Pipeline Segment 3 from the Fallon Road/Dublin Boulevard
intersection to the north boundary of the Caltrans I-580 right-of-way is currently in
service as a recycled water distribution line within the District service area. The audited
expenditure for Segment 3 is $290,624.
• Pipeline Segment 4 — Pipeline Segment 4 from the north boundary of the Caltrans I-580
right-of-way south in Cloak Road to the southern boundary of the Livermore Airport
property is not currently in service but is planned to serve recycled water to the I-580/
Cloak Road interchange, Staples Ranch, and possibly other development within
Pleasanton to the south. The audited expenditure for Segment 4 is $1,175,221.
• Pipeline Segment 5 — Pipeline Segment 5 running east along the Livermore Airport
property line from Cloak Road to the CWR well site is not in service. The audited
expenditure for Segment 5 is $310,136.
• Pipeline Segment 6 — Pipeline Segment 6 is actually two pipeline conduits, one installed
under Stoneridge Drive and one installed under I-580, to accommodate the DERWA
recycled water transmission main that has subsequently been installed. The audited
expenditure for Segment 6 is $699,850. This expenditure was paid by DERWA, not the
Regional Expansion Fund, so it has been deducted from the total audited CWR
expenditure.
• Injection Wells — The CWR Injection Wells located on Livermore Airport property were
never completed as the project was suspended during mid construction of the wells.
Through separate agreement with Zone 7 related to the Well Head Demineralization
project, Zone 7 has abandoned the wells at no cost to the District. The audited
expenditure for injection wells is $1,499,933.
H:ENGDEPT\Dept Items\ENGMGR\Pleasanton\CWR Audit\Final CWR Expenditure-Income Audit Memo.dac
