Karen Diaz
From: Karen Diaz
Sent: Tuesday, May 05, 2015 9:53 AM SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
To: Mayor and City Council
Subject: FW: SVS-City Council meeting Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
6"..:6:710/6—
710/6
From: Ryan Arvig [mailto:Rvan @Dvigrouo.coml
Sent: Monday, May 04, 2015 2:53 PM
To: Jennifer Walks
Cc: Wayne Rudick
Subject: SVS - City Council meeting
Importance: High
Hey Jennifer,
I wanted to send you a quick note in regards to an appeal we are in with a potential new tenant moving in
next door to our office. While we fully support this group, and all groups like this, we are concerned with
some of the problems it could pose. For starters we are a professional organization as are the other tenants in
our building. Many of our clients visit our office and being able to facilitate parking is extremely
important. We have very little traffic outside and it has made it easy for not only our clients, but also clients
for other tenants, to visit without incident. The previous tenants did not have many vehicles coming in and
out which worked for everyone in these buildings.
Wayne visited one of their other locations and was shocked at how little supervision was given. A major
concern is that we are close to a busy intersection and if we have unattended individuals not getting the
attention they need it could end in tragedy. Had Wayne's visit been a more positive experience it would have
made it easier to adapt. We have a business to run and also have to factor in the safety of our own
employee's when considering something like this. Our job is extremely customer oriented and if the noise
levels are loud our clients will be able to hear that over the phone or if they are in our office.
We have always had a great relationship with the city, our neighbors, and surrounding businesses. We are just
concerned with having a new neighbor that disrupts our business.
I appreciate your time.
Thank you,
RYAN A.
