Information regarding the length of the summer camp and day care services was provided to Commissioner Franklin. Tri-Valley Haven —Anti-Bullying Proiect & Healthy Relationships Program — Commissioners were advised that Tri-Valley Haven is seeking funding to provide the Anti-Bullying Project to approximately 550 Pleasanton students. The Project will inform and engage students in how to identify bullying and also provide technique to avoid and intervene safely in bullying situations. Funding for the Healthy Relationships Program will also Tri-Valley Have to provide presentations to approximately 550 Pleasanton middle and high school students and inform them on how to identify signs of a healthy relationship, as well as the warning signs of an unhealthy relationship. Commission Franklin was advised that Tri-Valley Haven personnel work with teachers to tailor their programs with school curriculum. Chairperson Sinha closed the meeting for presentations at 8:37 p.m. It was agreed by members of the Commission to review each of the funding applications with each Commissioner providing his/her individual funding recommendation for the application and an average funding amount then being calculated. After considering all of the applications, and agreeing on some minor modifications of the average funding amounts, Commissioners agreed on the funding recommendations and agreed to make a motion.
