with special needs, and the Anti-Bullying would be offered during the summer at several <br /> YMCA sites. <br /> Information regarding the length of the summer camp and day care services was provided to <br /> Commissioner Franklin. <br /> Tri-Valley Haven —Anti-Bullying Proiect & Healthy Relationships Program — Commissioners <br /> were advised that Tri-Valley Haven is seeking funding to provide the Anti-Bullying Project to <br /> approximately 550 Pleasanton students. The Project will inform and engage students in how <br /> to identify bullying and also provide technique to avoid and intervene safely in bullying <br /> situations. Funding for the Healthy Relationships Program will also Tri-Valley Have to <br /> provide presentations to approximately 550 Pleasanton middle and high school students and <br /> inform them on how to identify signs of a healthy relationship, as well as the warning signs of <br /> an unhealthy relationship. <br /> Commission Franklin was advised that Tri-Valley Haven personnel work with teachers to tailor <br /> their programs with school curriculum. <br /> Chairperson Sinha closed the meeting for presentations at 8:37 p.m. <br /> It was agreed by members of the Commission to review each of the funding applications with <br /> each Commissioner providing his/her individual funding recommendation for the application <br /> and an average funding amount then being calculated. <br /> After considering all of the applications, and agreeing on some minor modifications of the <br /> average funding amounts, Commissioners agreed on the funding recommendations and <br /> agreed to make a motion. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Rigl, seconded by Commissioner Ambrosiewicz, <br /> recommending the following Community Grant Funding Allocations for Fiscal Year <br /> 2015/16 for consideration by City Council: <br /> $ 3,755.00 Cheza Nami Foundation, Inc— Youth Diversity Summer Camp-Pleasanton 2015 <br /> $ 7,000.00 Child Care Links— Youth Education and Services <br /> $ 3,978.00 Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center—Arts in the Schools with Cheza Nami <br /> $ 5,664.00 Partners Fore Golf Inc. —The First Tee's National School Program <br /> $ 4,509.00 The Gatehouse Academy for Gifted Education — enGage Summer Enrichment <br /> $ 5,457.00 Tri-Valley Haven —Anti-Bullying Project <br /> $ 3,409.00 Tri-Valley Haven — Healthy Relationships Program <br /> $ 0.00 Valley Care Health Systems — CPR in Schools <br /> $ 4,773.31 Tri-Valley YMCA —Ani-Bullying Initiative <br /> $ 6,318.00 Tri-Valley YMCA — Integrating STEM Activities into Youth Programming <br /> $ 5,591.00 Tri-Valley YMCA - Providing Opportunities for Kids with Special Needs <br /> $50,454.31 TOTAL <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> Youth Commission Minutes <br /> November 13,2013 <br /> Page 6 <br />
