Commissioners discussed at length each of the funding applications, the benefits of the <br /> programs, and the number of Pleasanton residents that will be served. They reviewed <br /> Commissioner funding recommendations from ZoomGrants, and the average funding <br /> recommendations calculated. After modifying several of the average recommended funding <br /> numbers Commissioners finalized their discussions on the grant applications and agreed on <br /> funding recommendations. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Jellison, seconded by Commissioner Nealy, <br /> recommending the following Community Grant Funding Recommendations for Fiscal Year <br /> 2015/2016 in the Civic Arts Category for consideration by City Council: <br /> $ 6,000.00 - Cantabella Children's Chorus, Cantabella Choral Festival for Young Voices <br /> $ 3,500.00 - Livermore Valley Opera, The Making of an Opera <br /> $ 6,300.00 - Livermore Valley Opera, Student Outreach Program <br /> $ 5,326.00 - Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center, Arts in the Schools with Cheze Nami <br /> $ 5,500.00 - Pacific Chamber Symphony, PUSD Assembly <br /> $ 4,500.00 - Pacific Chamber Symphony, School Clinics <br /> $ 5,000.00 - Pleasanton Community Concert Band, Audience and Program Enhancement <br /> $ 727.15 - Gatehouse Academy, enGAGE Summer Enrichment Camp 2015 <br /> $ 5,571.98 - YMCA, Building Assets Through Arts Education <br /> $42,425.13 TOTAL FUNDING <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> AYES: Commissioners Helm, Jellison, Nealy, and Wheeler. <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Commissioners Loll, Massie, Steenman, and Chairperson Wedge. <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were none. <br /> COMMISSION REPORTS <br /> a. Public Art Selection Subcommittee — Ms. Grose advised that a meeting of the <br /> Subcommittee had been canceled and would be rescheduled for some time in May. <br /> Commissioner Jellison questioned whether she was to remain as the Alternate for this <br /> Subcommittee. Ms. Grose advised that this would be discussed at the next meeting <br /> when the Commission would select two members to site on the Subcommittee. <br /> b. Alviso Adobe Task Force — Commissioner Jellison advised that this group had met <br /> and put together priorities that are now being formalized so the Committee can further <br /> review.
