THE CITY OF 16 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PL EASANTON. <br /> April 21, 2015 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: AUTHORIZE PURCHASE ORDER AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN <br /> ROADS MACHINERY COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF LEAF <br /> COLLECTION EQUIPMENT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City of Pleasanton's annual city-wide Leaf Pick-up program operates November <br /> through January and is provided to reduce the obstruction of storm drains and eliminate <br /> the risk of flooding that can be caused from tree debris. To facilitate the program, the <br /> City operates three (3) leaf collectors throughout the season. These pieces of <br /> equipment are almost 15 years old and require increased maintenance due to their age <br /> and general condition. The life expectancy of this equipment is ten years. Staff is <br /> requesting approval of a purchase order with American Roads Machinery Company to <br /> replace the three (3) leaf collectors in the amount of$191,309.13. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the attached purchase order with American Roads Machinery Company <br /> (Attachment 1) for the purchase of three (3) leaf collectors in an amount not to exceed <br /> $191,309.13. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The cost to purchase three (3) leaf collectors is $191,309.13 and funds are available in <br /> the FY 2014/15 Equipment Replacement Internal Services Fund. <br />
