10 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> pLEASANTONm CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> April 21, 2015 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE FINAL PUBLIC PARK DESIGN FOR <br /> THE ESSEX PROPERTIES' MIXED-USE RESIDENTIAL/COMMERCIAL <br /> DEVELOPMENT PROJECT LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF <br /> GIBRALTAR DRIVE AND HACIENDA DRIVE, AND AUTHORIZATION <br /> FOR CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT GRANT OF PARK TO CITY AND <br /> TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY AND RELATED ACTIONS TO <br /> EFFECTUATE SUCH TRANSFER <br /> SUMMARY <br /> On March 12, 2015, the Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed and <br /> recommended approval of the final public park design that was part of the mixed-use <br /> residential/commercial development project, currently under construction, at the corner <br /> of Gibraltar Drive and Hacienda Drive in Hacienda. The final park design is now before <br /> the City Council for consideration. <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br /> The Parks and Recreation Commission recommended approval of the final park design. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt the attached resolution accepting the final public park design (Attachment 1). <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The public park will be built by the developer according to the approved design before <br /> being dedicated to the City. The City will bear financial responsibility for maintaining <br /> this new public park. Maintenance costs will be similar to other City parks and will be <br /> budgeted in the Operations Services annual budget. <br />
