("Kimley-Horn" or "Consultant") is pleased to submit this letter agreement (the"Agreement") to the City of Pleasanton ("City" or"Client")for providing transportation and design engineering services for Stanley Boulevard, between Main St. and First St. Kimley-Horn will perform this Agreement pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the As-Needed Professional Services Agreement 13-1092C executed between the Client and Consultant on June 18, 2013. Project Understanding The proposed Stanley Boulevard project envisions to improve pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular access on the corridor from the westerly limits at Main Street to the easterly limits at First Street. The City and Kimley-Horn design team worked together on this project from 2007-08 and progressed the design to a 90% PS&E design level. The City contacted Kimley-Horn in October 2014 to restart the project. The initial re-scoping meeting took place in late October. In early December 2014, the City provided a markup dated December 2, 2014 of the project alignment and design elements. The City and Kimley-Hom design team met on January 13, 2015 to discuss the markup, current site conditions which have changed since 2007, and new storm water regulations and City Complete Streets guidelines that will affect the design. The markup and items discussed in the meeting on January 13, 2015 will serve as the basis of design for the project moving forward. Scope of Services Kimley-Hom proposes the Scope of Services with key tasks listed below for completing the Stanley Boulevard Improvement Project, including conceptual designs and cost estimates, and PS&E construction documents. Task 1 —Project Management and Meetings Kimley-Horn will provide project management oversight of our team's activities and coordinate with the City of Pleasanton ("City") and other stakeholders throughout the project's duration. From our understanding, the design phase occurs from March thru end of August 2015. Construction is anticipated to occur between winter of 2015 thru summer of 2016. Sub-Task A:Project Coordination(Internal and External) The Kimley-Horn Project Manager and task managers will supervise, coordinate, and monitor the planning and design of the Project for conformance with standards and policies established between the City and Kimley-Hom at the beginning of the project. Kimley-Hom will coordinate with the City and other stakeholders, and with various planning and design functional groups, including our subconsultants, for the delivery of products. On an as-needed basis, subconsultants will also be included in intemal team meetings to facilitate the coordination of their services.
