Box 520 <br /> Pleasanton,CA 94566 <br /> RE: Bernal Community Park Phase 2 and Oak Woodland/Construction Review Services <br /> Dear Lorenzo: <br /> Thank you for requesting this proposal to provide bidding assistance and construction review <br /> services for the Phase 2 and Oak Woodland of the Bernal Community Park.We are excited to <br /> continue our involvement with the project to assist the City deliver these facilities to the <br /> community.We propose to have BSA Architects, Bellecci and Associates Civil Engineers, <br /> Miller Pezzoni Electrical Engineers,and Biggs Cardosa Associates Structural Engineers <br /> provide services for those items under their responsibility,and have obtained proposals from <br /> these firms,which are attached. <br /> We understand the City will provide full-time inspection and project management.This <br /> proposal is therefore limited to those tasks which are most efficiently performed by <br /> members of the design team. Unlike the design phase of project development,predicting the <br /> amount of time ultimately needed during construction is dependent on a number of factors <br /> over which we have no control.Therefore,we propose to provide our services on a time-and- <br /> materials basis,with an estimated maximum amount.We will charge the City for our actual <br /> hours and costs incurred.We will maintain a billing matrix to track progress payments,and <br /> submit it with our monthly invoices.We will notify the City once we have expended <br /> approximately 80%of the maximum amount so the City may assess the need for any <br /> adjustments if deemed necessary.Following is our proposed Scope of Services: <br /> 4.0 Bidding Assistance <br /> 4.01 Attend pre-bid conference,if any,to answer questions and provide additional <br /> information. <br /> 4.02 Respond to contractors'questions(BFI's). <br /> 4.03 Prepare any necessary addendum(or addenda). <br /> 4.04 Review of the bids received. <br /> 4.05 Attend a briefing with the low bidder and the City to clarify any uncertain issues(if <br /> required) <br /> 4.06 Recommendation for award of contract to qualified low bidder <br /> landscape Architecture Park 5 Pacrnmticn Plancinp Urban Design <br />
