None of the aforementioned language will supersede the provisions of this Memorandum of <br /> Understanding reached by mutual agreement of both negotiating parties (PPOA and City of <br /> Pleasanton). <br /> Section 7. Salaries <br /> 7.1 Rates of Pay <br /> The salary ranges for all employees in the Police Employee Unit as set forth in Exhibit A <br /> represent, for each classification, the standard rate of pay for full time employment and <br /> represent the total compensation due employees, except for overtime compensation and other <br /> benefits specifically provided by the City. See Exhibit A for salary ranges for each year <br /> covered by this Memorandum of Understanding. <br /> Effective the first pay period on or after January 1, 2015 (January 3, 2015), the salary ranges of <br /> all classifications represented by the Association shall be increased by three percent (3%). <br /> Effective the first pay period on or after June 1, 2015 (June 6, 2015), the salary ranges of all <br /> classifications represented by the Association shall be increased by three percent (3%). <br /> Effective the first pay period on or after June 1, 2016 (June 4, 2016), the salary ranges of all <br /> classifications represented by the Association shall be increased by three percent (3%). <br /> 7.2 Field Training Officer Pay <br /> Qualified Field Training Officers having been given a training assignment by a supervisor shall <br /> receive an amount equal to five percent (5%) of their regular monthly pay for each month in <br /> which they spend forty (40) hours training. If the hours spent training are less than forty in a <br /> month, the officer shall receive 5% of their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour spent <br /> training. Motorcycle training officers engaged in forty (40) hours of training in a month shall <br /> receive Field Training Officer pay. <br /> 7.3 Acting Pay <br /> An employee meeting the minimum qualifications may be temporarily promoted to an <br /> authorized position on an"acting" basis. The employee temporarily promoted shall be <br /> compensated at the pay rate for the position he/she is filling, until such time as the position is <br /> filled on a permanent basis or he/she returns to his/her previous position. <br /> 7.4 Acting Lieutenant Pay <br /> A Police Sergeant assigned by the Police Chief to serve as acting lieutenant for a minimum <br /> consecutive period of seven(7) calendar days shall receive a sum equal to five percent(5%) of <br /> their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour worked in said acting assignment. Additionally, a <br /> Police Sergeant in an acting assignment remains part of the PPOA bargaining unit and will <br /> receive all pay and benefits as proscribed in this agreement. <br /> 7.5 Canine Responsibility Pay <br /> 4 <br />
