IN <br /> THE AMOUNT OF $41,000 TO CONDUCT A BUSINESS NEEDS <br /> SURVEY <br /> SUMMARY <br /> In 2012, the City conducted a baseline business needs survey, the results of which <br /> have been used to guide Pleasanton economic development initiatives, including the <br /> 2013 update to the City's Economic Development Strategic Plan. The City Council is <br /> now asked to consider authorizing the City Manager to approve an agreement not to <br /> exceed $41,000 with JD Franz Research, Inc. to conduct a second business needs <br /> survey to assess changes in business perception and needs, including assessment of <br /> broadband connectivity. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement in the amount of $41,000 with JD <br /> Franz Research, Inc. to conduct a second business needs survey. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The fiscal impact is expected to be $41,000. This project is included, and budgeted for, <br /> in the Economic Development Department's current fiscal year work plan. <br />
