Every site within LVJUSD produces battery waste. This system will <br /> utilize five aerobic compost bins to sterilize herbivore manure. <br /> Mini-Grant#: 14-16 Fertile Groundwork's,Highway—Towable—Chipper/Shredder,Livermore, East County,$3,000.00- <br /> Funds will be used to purchase a chipper-shredder to be used for size reduction of garden,orchard and kitchen wastes that are being <br /> used to make compost and mulch. <br /> Mini-Grant#: 14-17 Berkeley Training Academy,B-Tech Recycle Rollout,Berkeley,West County,$250.00- <br /> Funds will be used to hold a school wide assembly to explain the benefits of green practices and launch a campus wide roll out of the <br /> recycling,reuse and composting program. Funds will also be used to provide refreshments at the assembly in compostable containers <br /> and provide gift cards for lead students who will be responsible for helping to remind everyone on campus to follow the new green <br /> rules. <br />
