• <br /> It is understood by the parties that all employees holding special Paramedic compensation status shall <br /> have an obligation to maintain that status unless permitted to leave the program. Paramedics shall be <br /> responsible for maintaining their license and shall fulfill all continuing education requirements. The Fire <br /> Department shall cover the costs of testing and licensing. <br /> 12.6 Paramedic Compensation <br /> Paramedics will receive additional compensation while serving in the assignment. The compensation <br /> received shall be equal to eight percent (8%) of the employee's base pay. <br /> Section 13. Vacations <br /> 13.1 Vacation Eligibility <br /> All employees shall be entitled to annual vacation leave with pay except for the following: <br /> Employees who have served less than six (6) months in the service of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire <br /> Department. However, these employees shall accrue vacation leave from the date of hire. <br /> 13.2 Vacation Allowance <br /> Each eligible employee on a fifty-six (56) hour workweek shall accrue vacation with pay from the date <br /> of hire in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> Years of Continuous Service Monthly Accrual Rate <br /> First through fourth year 12 hours <br /> Fifth through eleventh-ninth year 16 hours <br /> Twelfth Tenth through€eurteentktwelf€th year 20 hours <br /> Fifteenth Thirteenth through ~fifteenth year 22 hours <br /> Seventeenth Sixteenth year and above 24 hours <br /> Accrued vacation shall be credited to the employee's account biweekly. <br /> Each eligible employee on a forty (40) hour workweek shall accrue vacation with pay in accordance with <br /> the following schedule: <br /> Years of Continuous Service Monthly Accrual Rate <br /> First through fourth year 8.57 hours <br /> Fifth through eleventh-ninth 11.43 hours <br /> Twelfth Tenth through Twelfth€etrteettt 14.29 hours <br /> ThirteenthFifteenth through fifteenthsixteeath 15.71 hours <br /> Sixteentheventeenth year or more 17.14 hours <br /> Accrued vacation shall be credited to the employee's account biweekly. <br /> 15 <br />
