Repayment of the loan is guaranteed by the City through a pledge of all water revenues
in the Water Maintenance and Operations Fund as indicated in the Pledged Revenue
and Fund Resolution (Attachment 2). However, the City is anticipating that the monies
needed to repay the loan will come from the recycled water surcharge and revenues
from the sale of recycled water. The loan will cover the construction costs associated
with developing the recycled water system. Staff is planning to return to Council prior to
September 1, 2015 to set and update water, sewer, and recycled water rates for the
next five year period.
As a way of an update on Phase 1A of the Pleasanton Recycled Water Project that will
provide recycled water to the Ken Mercer Sports Park, staff is currently finalizing
construction documents and anticipates that the awarding of a contract for the project
will occur within the next 90-days.
Su. ift if Fiscal Review: Approve by:
Daniel S ith Emily Wagner Nelson Fialho
Director of Operation Services Director of Finance City Manager
Attachments:
1.
