EXHIBIT C
RASMUSSEN PLANNING, INC..
,. . l I)VI?.•,. :iL PLAU❑ 1!
November 5, 2014
Ms. Shweta Bonn, Senior Planner
City of Pleasanton
Community Development Department
P.O. Box 520
Pleasanton, CA 94566
Re: East Pleasanton Specific Plan Preliminary Contract Amendment 3 Proposal
Dear Shweta:
At its August 7, 2014 meeting, the EPSP Task Force requested that the Specific Plan be
modified to reflect a 1,300 single-family unit project rather than the 1,759 single-
family/multifamily units that had previously been proposed. In addition, it requested that
a new series of Plan alternatives be evaluated in the project Environmental Impact Report
(ER). Since these changes will require significant revisions to the EPSP document as
well as the EIR, City staff asked that the Consultant Team prepare a proposal to
undertake this additional work.
Attached are updated proposals from four of the Planning Team's six consulting firms,
including RPl, Gates + Associates, First Carbon Solutions, and Fehr& Peers. Proposals
were not submitted by Economic & Planning Systems and Kier& Wright at this time
since it was not apparent that additional work beyond the existing contract would be
required of them.
The combined sub-consultant cost proposed for completing the additional work is
$97,187. In addition, given the fluid nature of the EPSP process, we suggest that a 20
percent contingency of$19,437 also be included to cover potential future tasks that are
not anticipated at this time. The contingency would of course not be utilized without
prior written direction by City staff The total proposed cost of services, including the
contingency, is $116,624.
We would be pleased to further discuss our proposal with you and to make further
refinements as may be necessary. Please call if I can be of any further assistance.
Best regards.
Wayne Rasmussen, President
RASMUSSEN PLANNING, INC.
cc: Linda Gates
1
Rasmussen Planning,Inc • 2010 Cron:Canon Place,Suite 100.Sari Ramon,CA 94583 • Prone:925 359.3255 • Fan:925 359 3256•,masmossen rasp'an corn
