THE CITY OF _ _, 5 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON. <br /> December 16, 2014 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY BRENEMAN, INC. <br /> FOR THE ANNUAL CURB AND GUTTER REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CIP <br /> NO. 135009 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Annual Curb and Gutter Replacement project consisted of removing and replacing <br /> damaged concrete valley gutters and sidewalks that presented potential trip hazards. It <br /> also included repairing curb and gutter for better flow in preparation for street resurfacing <br /> and installing new intersection ramps for accessibility. Construction of the project is <br /> complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $11,352.50 to Breneman, Inc. <br /> thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize the transfer of the project unspent balance of$72,648 to the Gas Tax Fund <br /> balance. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $300,000 as outlined in Attachment 1. Expenditures <br /> totaled $227,352, leaving an unspent balance of$72,648. Staff recommends the transfer <br /> of this balance to the Capital Improvement Program/Streets Fund balance (Fund 160). <br />
