A report by NBC News recently
highlighted some concerns about a number of soccer players who were all being treated for cancer after playing on these types
of fields.
I request you each take the time to read this well-balanced report and the sources it references before fast-tracking or approving
the construction of the aforementioned fields. If the materials used in these fields can't be guaranteed to be safe from causing
such harm, Pleasanton should stick with what is tried and true. Grass. Better to be safe than sorry.
http://www.nbcnews.com/news/investigations/how-safe-artificial-turf-your-chi ld-plays-n220166
Best regards,
Scott Bruen
Pleasanton Resident
Ballistic United Soccer Club Alumnus
Click here to report this email as spam.
1
