EXHIBIT A <br /> VAN METER <br /> WILLIAMS <br /> POLLACK' <br /> November 12, 2014 <br /> Brian Dolan <br /> Director of Community Development <br /> City of Pleasanton <br /> Proposal for Urban Design Services : <br /> Hacienda Regulations and Design Guidelines Update <br /> Dear Brian: <br /> Thank you for considering Van Meter Williams Pollack, LLP for revising the Hacienda Regulations and Design <br /> Guidelines (Hacienda DGL). The purpose of the scope is to refine the Hacienda Plan Document, Regulations <br /> and Design Guidelines to integrate the City's Housing Site Development Standards and Design Guidelines <br /> (Housing DGL) and TOD Standards and Design Guidelines (TOD DGL) into the Hacienda DGLs as well as <br /> refine and coordinate items between the Hacienda controlled documents and the City documents which <br /> control the Hacienda Business Park development. The intent of this agreement is to establish a scope of <br /> work, work product deliverables, and professional design fee compensation. <br /> 1. Scope of Work: <br /> Task 1:Review Hacienda Design Guidelines document, its Regulations and Design Guidelines and City <br /> Documents <br /> • Review Hacienda Plan Document. <br /> •Translate existing document (word perfect file) into (msword) document. (this may require assistance from <br /> Hacienda to translate their current word perfect documents to msword for City compatibility). <br /> • Highlight areas of refinement and/or conflict between Hacienda and City Documents. <br /> • Meet with City staff and Hacienda representative to discuss refinements and conflicts and to provide <br /> direction to consultant on these areas. <br /> • Draft suggested refinements or modifications in the existing documents. <br /> Task 2:Integrate City of Pleasanton Transit Oriented Standards and Design Guidelines(TOD DGL) and <br /> Pleasanton Housing Site Development Standards and Design Guidelines (Housing DGL) into Hacienda <br /> Document <br /> •Translate the current documents to MS word <br /> • Integrate the Housing DGL and TOD DGL into the current Hacienda Document(s) either in separate chapter <br /> or in special areas as deemed appropriate. <br /> • Update other aspects of the Hacienda documents as deemed appropriate by Representative and City staff. <br /> • Meet with City Staff and Hacienda Representatives to review draft recommendations. <br /> • Draft the suggested integration strategy with all edits for a draft document. <br /> • Meet with City Staff and Hacienda Representative to go over draft comments. <br /> • Provide Public Review Draft for Public Hearings. <br /> • Attend Planning Commission and/or Council sessions as required. <br /> • Finalize document per comments. <br /> ARCHITECTURE URBAN DESIGN a SAN FRANCISCO DENVER <br /> 333 Bryant Street,Suite 300,San Francisco,CA 94107 T 415.974.5352 1626 Wazee Street,Suite 2A,Oenver,CO 80202 7303.298.1480 wwv..vmwp.cam <br />
