Initial Study and Negative Declaration <br /> 5.2. AGRICULTURAL AND FORESTRY RESOURCES <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL SETTING <br /> The project site is located in an urbanized area. The site is currently occupied by a <br /> gas station and an automobile service building. It is not currently being used for <br /> farmland, agricultural production, or forestry. The California State Department of <br /> Conservation designates the subject property as "Urban and Built-Up Land," which <br /> is defined as land that is occupied by structures with a building density of at least 1 <br /> unit to 1 .5 acres, or approximately 6 structures to a 10-acre parcels. <br /> STANDARDS OF SIGNIFICANCE <br /> For purposes of this environmental document, an impact is considered significant if <br /> the proposed project would: <br /> • Convert Prime Farmland, Unique Farmland, or Farmland of Statewide <br /> Importance to non-agricultural uses; <br /> • Conflict with or result in the cancellation of a Williamson Act contract; <br /> • Adversely affect agricultural production. <br /> Less Than <br /> Significant <br /> Potentially Impact With Less Than <br /> Significant Mitigation Significant No <br /> Issues Impact Incorporated Impact Impact <br /> Agricultural and Forest Resources <br /> Would the project: <br /> a) Convert Prime Farmland, Unique Farmland, or X <br /> Farmland of Statewide Importance (Farmland), <br /> as shown on the maps prepared pursuant to the <br /> Farmland Mapping and Monitoring Program of <br /> the California Resources Agency, to non- <br /> agricultural use? <br /> b) Conflict with existing zoning for agricultural use, or X <br /> a Williamson Act contract? <br /> 14 <br />
