RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> DECLARING AS SURPLUS TWO FIRE ENGINES, AND AUTHORIZE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT DONATING THESE ENGINES TO <br /> PLEASANTON'S SISTER CITY TULANCINGO, MEXICO. THIS DONATION <br /> WOULD BE THROUGH THE PELASANTON DOWNTOWN ROTARY CLUB <br /> WHEREAS, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department surplused a 1991 GMC <br /> Type 4 Wildland Rig, VIN Number 1GDJK34N6ME507964 and a 1985 Van Pelt Type 1 <br /> Structure Engine, VIN Number S29RT6F04FC423861, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Livermore-Pleasanton will donate these surplused fire engines <br /> to the City of Pleasanton's sister city Tulancingo, Mexico, and <br /> WHEREAS, these engines have past their useful and cost effective service life, <br /> and are highly desired by the Tulancingo Fire Department, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Downtown Rotary Club will facilitate this donation to <br /> Tulancingo, Mexico; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council approves the donation of two surplused fire <br /> engines from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department to the City of Pleasanton's <br /> sister city Tulancingo, Mexico's Fire Department. <br /> SECTION 2. The transfer, transportation and other logistics of this donation will <br /> have no cost to the City of Pleasanton. <br /> SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on October 21, 2014. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the <br /> foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the <br /> 21st day of October 2014, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Jonathan P.
