Appendix B <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE <br /> DISCLOSURE CATEGORIES <br /> GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> Any person holding a designated position is required to disclose any financial interests which <br /> include some or all of the following: investments, real property interests and other sources of <br /> income. An employee needs only to disclose investments of business entities and sources of <br /> income which do business in the City, plan to do business in the City or have done business in <br /> the City within the past two years, unless otherwise specifically changed in the disclosure <br /> categories specified below. Income from the City need not be disclosed. In addition to other <br /> activities, a business entity is doing business with the City if it owns real property in the City. <br /> Business position disclosure included businesses in which the employee is a director, officer, <br /> partner, trustee, employee, or holds any position of management. When a person holding a <br /> designated position is required to disclose interests in real property, that person need only <br /> disclose real property which is located in whole or in part within or not more than two miles <br /> outside the boundary for the City or within two miles of any land owned by the City of <br /> Pleasanton. The principle residence or any other property used as a personal residence of the <br /> employee need not be disclosed. Persons holding a designated position shall disclose their <br /> financial interest pursuant to the appropriate disclosure categories as described in Appendix A. <br /> DISCLOSURE CATEGORIES <br /> Category 1: Designated officials and employees in this disclosure category shall disclose all <br /> sources of income, interests in real property and investments and business <br /> positions in business entities. <br /> Category 2: Designated officials and employees in this disclosure category shall disclose all <br /> investments and business positions in business entities and sources of income <br /> which provide services, supplies, materials, machinery or equipment of the type <br /> utilized by the city. <br /> Category 3: Designated officials and employees in this disclosure category shall disclose all <br /> investments and business positions in business entities and sources of income <br /> which provide services, supplies, materials or equipment of the type utilized by <br /> the designated employee's department or division. <br /> Category 4: Designated officials and employees in this disclosure category shall disclose all <br /> investments and business positions in business entities and sources of income, <br /> interests in real property which are subject to the regulations, permits or licensing <br /> authority of the city. <br /> Category 5: All designated officials and employees in this disclosure category shall disclose <br /> all investments and business positions in business entities, and sources of <br /> income which engage in land development, construction, acquisition or sale of <br /> real property, and all interests in real property. <br /> Category 6: No disclosure is required by this Conflict of Interest Code. Full disclosure is <br /> required by Government Code Section 87200. <br /> 14 <br />
