THE CITY OF <br />KE01 Ill II NI <br />pLEASANTONe <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />September 16, 2014 <br />Operation Services <br />TITLE: APPROVE THE TRI- VALLEY INTERGOVERNMENTAL RECIPROCAL <br />SERVICES MASTER AGREEMENT WITH THE CITIES OF DUBLIN, <br />LIVERMORE, DUBLIN SAN RAMON SERVICES DISTRICT AND ZONE 7 <br />TO CREATE A COOPERATIVE PROCESS TO SHARE RESOURCES, <br />MATERIALS AND PERSONNEL ON A TASK -BY -TASK BASIS <br />SUMMARY <br />The cities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, as well as the special districts of the Dublin <br />San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) and the Alameda Flood Control and Water <br />Conservation District Zone 7 (Zone 7), propose an agreement to create a process that <br />would allow two or more of the parties to formally work together on an as- needed, task - <br />specific basis. Negotiated tasks could involve sharing equipment, expertise or materials <br />to more efficiently use resources and avoid duplication. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />That the City Council approve the Tri- Valley Intergovernmental Reciprocal Services <br />Master Agreement between the cities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, and the special <br />districts of DSRSD and Zone 7 authorize it execution. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The agreement creates a framework for specific services to be completed on a case -by- <br />case basis as mutually agreed to by the parties. Available funding and potential <br />revenue would be verified prior to agreeing to engage in joint services. <br />5 <br />
