2. Hazardous electrical work found to be dangerous <br /> to life or property due to defective wiring, <br /> devices, appliances or equipment. <br /> <br /> 3. Electrical work connected to service without <br /> the approval of the Chief Building Inspector <br /> or his duly appointed representative. Any <br /> order issued pursuant to this section may be <br /> made either to the person using and maintaining <br /> the condition or to the person responsible for <br /> its use and maintenance, and shall specify the <br /> date or time for compliance with its terms. <br /> <br /> 91-3 PERMITS <br /> <br /> a. Permits Required. No electric equipment regulated <br /> by this chapter shall be installed within or on any <br /> building, structure or premises without first secur- <br /> ing a permit therefor from the Chief Building Inspec- <br /> tor, or his duly appointed representative. A sep- <br /> arate permit shall be obtained for each building or <br /> structure. <br /> <br /> b. To Whom Permit may be Issued. No permit shall be <br /> issued to any person to do, or cause to be done, <br />' any work regulated by this chapter except to a <br /> person holding a valid, unexpired, and unrevoked <br /> Electrical Contractor's License issued by the <br /> Contractor's State LiCense Board of the State of <br /> California except when and as otherwise hereinafter <br /> provided in this section. <br /> <br /> This chapter shall exempt from licensing any work <br /> that qualifies for the exemptions provided in <br /> Sections 7040, 7042, 7043, 7045, 7047, 7051, 7052 <br /> and 7053, Article 3, Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the <br /> Business and Professions Code of the State of <br /> California. <br /> <br /> Any permit required by this chapter may be issued <br /> to any person to do any work regulated by this <br /> chapter in a single family dwelling used exclu- <br /> sively for living purposes including the usual <br /> accessory buildings and quarters in connection <br /> with such buildings in the event that the same <br /> are occupied by or designed to be occupied by said <br /> owner; provided that said owner shall perform, <br /> oversee or supervise all work in connection <br /> therewith. <br /> <br /> - c. Application for Permit. Every application for a <br /> permit shall be made on forms furnished by the <br /> Chief Building Inspector, or his duly appointed <br /> representative.
