PGS has agreed to amend the methodology used in its rate application to
incorporate methodologies recommended by the City. Because these
methodologies have been generated in large part by Crowe Horwath LLP, it is
beneficial that the City retain it to fully evaluate their impact and consistency with
the PGS rate application.
In addition to the above, City staff and the City Council Refuse and Recycling
Subcommittee, comprised of Councilmember Cheryl Cook-Kallio and
Councilmember Karla Brown have been engaged in discussion regarding
potential amendments to the Franchise and these meetings will remain ongoing
until such time that this process is concluded. In addition, staff anticipates that
the Subcommittee will be engaged for this rate review to assure that Council
issues and perspectives are addressed during the process.
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approved b
 dj(>.
Steven Bocian Emily Wagner Nelson Fialho
Assistant City Manager Director of Finance City Manager
Attachments:
1.
