4. Sub-Trades: Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Permit Fees. All building permits with <br /> associated sub-trades are assessed a single sub-trade permit fee surcharge of 25% of the <br /> Building Permit Fee, covering all electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing work. Sub-trade fees <br /> for all new residential construction are assessed on a cost per square foot basis. Stand-alone <br /> electrical, mechanical or plumbing (sub-trades) permit fees are assessed on a per item basis, <br /> as shown on pages 8-10. <br /> 5. Plan Review Fees. Plan review fees are collected for all applicable plan reviews that apply to <br /> any given project. Fees for the initial plan review of buildings, structures and fire sprinkler <br /> systems are a percentage of the Permit Fees and all applicable surcharges that were calculated <br /> in step number 1 through 4 above. Fees for revisions to previously approved plans are based <br /> upon the time needed for review at the current rate of the reviewer, with a minimum charge of <br /> one hour plus administrative charges. <br /> Note:A fast-track plan review is available for most building reviews, but not reviews by other Divisions or <br /> LPFD. Please contact the Building Division for specific details. <br /> Initial Plan Review: 65% of the Pemiit fees and surcharges, $130.00 minimum. <br /> Fire Department Life Safety/Egress plan review: 25% of the Building Permit fee. <br /> Green Building Plan Review (projects subject to Green Building Standards), $390.00 minimum. <br /> 6. Strong Motion Instrumentation Program Fee (SMIP). (id party fee collected for the State of <br /> California) This fee applies to any proposed building construction for which a building permit is <br /> issued. <br /> Residential Permits, not including hotels & motels $0.10 per $1,000 valuation <br /> Non-Residential Permits $0.21 per $1,000 valuation <br /> 7. Building Standards Administration Special Revolving Fund Surcharge. (t party fee collected <br /> for the State of California) This fee applies to any proposed building construction for which a <br /> building permit is issued. <br /> $1.00 for every $25,000.00 of permit valuation <br /> 8. Archival Fees. The City of Pleasanton collects fees for electronically archiving plans and <br /> required documents submitted for plan review and permits. <br /> Plans, 11" by 17" or larger $2.00 per page <br /> Other required documents $0.25 per page. <br /> Other Permit Types. <br /> On-Site Permits. On-Site permits are required for improvements outside of structures on <br /> private property such as curb & gutter, sidewalk, pavement, underground piping, site lighting, <br /> erosion control, etc. The plan review fee is 0.6% of the estimated value of the improvements, <br /> and the onsite permit fee is 1.4% of the estimated value of the improvements. <br /> Fire Sprinkler Permits. Fire Sprinkler plan review and permit fees are paid at the time of <br /> submittal in the Permit Center, and reviewed by the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department. <br /> These fees are based on the contract cost of the sprinkler system for alterations to existing <br /> systems up to five heads, or by valuation using a factor of $4.70 per square foot. The Plan <br /> Review Fee is 65% of the Permit Fee, with a minimum of $130.00, based upon the current plan <br /> review rate of our consultants. <br /> Page 2of10 <br />
