Corporate Plaza development and was zoned for an additional office building and two <br /> smaller bank/savings and loan buildings. In 1987, BART purchased the property in <br /> anticipation of developing the BART station and the office and bank entitlements were <br /> removed. In 2008, Windstar Communities, Inc. received City approval to construct a <br /> mixed-use, high-density residential/commercial development containing 350 apartment <br /> units and 14,286 square feet of retail space on the 6.9-acre portion of BART's property. <br /> The proposed Workday project would replace the previously-approved Windstar project. <br /> The subject properties are bordered on the west by the BART station garage and a four- <br /> story office building, on the north by 1-580, on the east by 1-680, on the south by the <br /> Pleasanton Corporate Commons office complex, and on the southwest by Stoneridge <br /> Mall, on the opposite side of Stoneridge Mall Road. <br /> Figure 1, Aerial Photo•ra•h of the Subsect Site and Surroundin s Area Goo•le Ma•s <br /> P- - <br /> ter <br /> • .y <br /> ,. .1• 11 , __110.
