THE CITY OF <br /> P <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> LEAS <br /> ANTONa <br /> May 20, 2014 <br /> City Clerk <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION CALLING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> TO BE HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2014, FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> ELECTING A MAYOR AND TWO MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; A <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION WITH THE STATEWIDE <br /> GENERAL ELECTION <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The purpose of November 2014 election is to elect a Mayor for a two-year term and two <br /> members of the City Council, each for a four-year term. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt the attached resolutions, Calling for the holding of a General Municipal Election to <br /> be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014, for the election of a Mayor and two Members of <br /> the City Council; and Requesting that the County of Alameda Board of Supervisors <br /> consent to consolidation of the General Municipal Election with the Statewide General <br /> Election <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding in the amount of $75,000 is allocated in the Fiscal Year 2014/15 Operating <br /> Budget. Should actual costs exceed this amount; staff will recommend an additional <br /> appropriation as part of the midyear budget review process. <br />
