Police <br /> 16. Adopted and waived full reading of Resolution No. 14-673 amending the Resolution No. 92-100 <br /> establishing an application fee schedule for special event applications <br /> Councilmember Narum requested clarification on which fee category something like co-sponsored <br /> sports groups would fall under. <br /> Police Chief Spitler explained that sports groups would fall under the "non-profit" classification and <br /> charged a $75 application fee for their tournaments or special sporting events. City-sponsored events <br /> can have their application fee waived and certain other groups make seek a waiver at the City <br /> Manager's discretion. <br /> Mayor Thome requested confirmation that the Police Department requested the fee be set at $150, yet <br /> staff is recommending $250. <br /> Mr.. Fialho said the fee is currently zero and will be increased to $250 to conform to surrounding <br /> agencies that charge a similar fee. <br /> Chief Spiller also explained that the request was for$250; $150 is a typo in the resolution. <br /> Operations Services <br /> 17. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute the Fourth Amendment to the contract with <br /> the County of Alameda regarding Castlewood Service Area <br /> 18. Accepted Public Improvements, Tennis Court Reconstruction and Resurfacing at Pleasanton <br /> Tennis and Community Park, CIP No. 138055; authorized the City Clerk to file a Notice of <br /> Completion and the payment of retention in the amount of$7,44015 <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Brown, to approve the Consent Calendar, as amended and noted. <br /> Motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Ayes:. Presentation of a Proclamation proclaiming April 8th Equal Pay Day <br /> Councilmember Cook-Kallio invited Roz Wright, Director of Public Policy the Livermore-Dublin- <br /> Pleasanton branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), to the podium. <br /> Ms. Wright stated that AAUW is a national organization whose mission is to ensure equal rights for <br /> women and girls. AAUW is very involved in the issues of bullying and sex trafficking this year, and <br /> recently spent time in Sacramento working on legislation regarding the latter.
