MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> March 4, 2014 <br /> Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Vice-Mayor Pentin led the <br /> Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Brown, Cook-Kallio, Narum, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell reported the Council met in Closed Session for conference with labor negotiators <br /> regarding negotiations with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1974 and Pleasanton <br /> Police Officers Association. No further reportable action was taken. The Council did not hold <br /> conference with legal counsel regarding the second item listed on the Closed Session agenda. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Fialho reported that Item 8, related to an appeal by Mr. and Mrs. Reddy, has been <br /> permanently withdrawn. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> City Manager <br /> 1. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 14-600 supporting US Senate Bill S. 1789 to <br /> amend the Communications Act of 1934 and to establish signal quality and content requirements <br /> for the carriage of public, educational, and governmental channels, to preserve support of such <br /> channels, and for other purposes <br /> Community Development <br /> 2. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> 3. Accepted public improvments performed by Rosas Brothers Construction for the Annual Sidewalk <br /> Replacement project, CIP No. 125012; authorized the City Clerk to file a notice of completion, the <br /> release of retention in the amount of $8,387.38 and the transfer of unspent project funds in the <br /> amount of$19,599 to the Street Capital Improvement Program fund balance <br /> Finance <br /> 4. Accepted the monthly disbursements and investment report for January 2014 <br /> Fire <br /> 5. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 14-601 declaring weeds, dirt, rubbish and refuse <br /> upon or in front of certain properties constitute a public nuisance requiring abatement and setting <br /> a public hearing regarding abatement <br />
