MINUTES CITY OF PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL March 4, 2014 Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Vice-Mayor Pentin led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmembers Brown, Cook-Kallio, Narum, Pentin, Mayor Thorne Absent: None CLOSED SESSION REPORT City Attorney Lowell reported the Council met in Closed Session for conference with labor negotiators regarding negotiations with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1974 and Pleasanton Police Officers Association. No further reportable action was taken. The Council did not hold conference with legal counsel regarding the second item listed on the Closed Session agenda. AGENDA AMENDMENTS City Manager Fialho reported that Item 8, related to an appeal by Mr. and Mrs. Reddy, has been permanently withdrawn. CONSENT CALENDAR City Manager 1. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 14-600 supporting US Senate Bill S. 1789 to amend the Communications Act of 1934 and to establish signal quality and content requirements for the carriage of public, educational, and governmental channels, to preserve support of such channels, and for other purposes Community Development 2. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission 3. Accepted public improvments performed by Rosas Brothers Construction for the Annual Sidewalk Replacement project, CIP No. 125012; authorized the City Clerk to file a notice of completion, the release of retention in the amount of $8,387.38 and the transfer of unspent project funds in the amount of$19,599 to the Street Capital Improvement Program fund balance Finance 4. Accepted the monthly disbursements and investment report for January 2014 Fire 5. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 14-601 declaring weeds, dirt, rubbish and refuse upon or in front of certain properties constitute a public nuisance requiring abatement and setting a public hearing regarding abatement
