THE CITY OF <br /> - 18 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTONo <br /> April 15, 2014 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, TENNIS COURT <br /> RECONSTRUCTION AND RESURFACING AT PLEASANTON TENNIS <br /> AND COMMUNITY PARK, CIP NO. 138055 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This project consisted of the reconstruction and resurfacing of the original five (5) tennis <br /> courts at the Community Park. Construction of this project is complete and ready for <br /> acceptance by City Council. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the project improvements. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the project. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $7,440 to Vintage <br /> Contractors, Inc., of San Francisco, California, thirty days after the recordation <br /> of the Notice of Completion. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $165,000. Expenditures totaled the contract amount of <br /> $148,800, plus $237 for advertising, leaving an unspent balance of $15,963 in the CIP <br /> project budget. A portion of this amount, approximately $10,000, will be used to install <br /> new benches/shade structures for all ten courts at the facility. Staff recommends the <br /> transfer of the remaining balance (approximately $5,963) to the Parks Capital <br /> Improvement Fund balance. <br />
