THE CITY OF 1 6
00 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pL£ASANTON.
April 15, 2014
Police
TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO AMEND MASTER FEE RESOLUTION 92-100
TO ESTABLISH AN APPLICATION FEE SCHEDULE FOR SPECIAL
EVENT APPLICATIONS
SUMMARY:
The Pleasanton Police Department annually manages approximately sixty (60) special
events that range from walk-a-thons to art festivals. Although these events bring
economic growth and positive exposure to the city, they create financial and resource
impacts on the Police Department and the City does not recover its administrative costs
to coordinate the event applications. To offset some of the administrative costs incurred
by the Police Department, the Police Department is proposing an application fee.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the attached resolution to amend Master Fee Resolution 92-100 to establish an
application fee schedule for special event applications.
The Special Event Application Fee would be as follows:
® For profit vendors/organizations: $250.00
9 Non-profit vendors/organizations: $ 75.00
® City sponsored events: No Fee
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
There will be an increase in revenue received from the fees recovered pursuant to this
amendment to the Master Fee Schedule.
