ORDINANCE NO. AN OMNIBUS ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ADOPTING MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENTS: §2.29.030 CLARIFY YOUTH COMMISSION COMPENSATION; §2.38.080 SET HOUSING COMMISSION QUORUM; §2.48.050 AMEND SELECTION PROCESS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FIRMS; §5.08.020 CREATE NON-PROFIT PROMOTER CATEGORY; §9.24.020 DEFINE SMOKING TO INCLUDE E- CIGARETTES; §13.08.090 PROHIBIT COMMERCIAL SERVICES IN PARKS; §14.04.060 CLARIFY USE OF WATER SERVICE; §§14.04.130 AND 15.12.080 ALLOW LIENS FOR UNPAID UTILITY BILLS; §18.20.010 PROHIBIT ROOFTOP SOLAR DESIGN REVIEW; §18.48.180 CORRECT ERROR IN CONDITIONAL USES IN INDUSTRIAL PARK DISTRICT WHEREAS, provisions of the Pleasanton Municipal Code need to be amended to correct code errors, reflect current practices and comply with changes in State law; and WHEREAS, this omnibus ordinance involves one action by the City Council to correct and bring up-to-date multiple provisions of the Municipal Code. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Municipal Code is amended as provided in Exhibit A, attached and incorporated by this reference. Section 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective thirty(30) days after its passage and adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on April 15, 2014 by the following vote. Ayes: Noes: Absent: Abstain: Jerry Thorne, Mayor
