BACKGROUND
The Planning Division is seeking temporary planning assistance to cover a maternity
leave at a time when Current Planning applications and other Planning activities
(including the Housing Element Update and the East Pleasanton Specific Plan) make it
difficult to cover the work with the existing staff.
The Director of Community Development contacted two Planning firms that provide
contract planning services Pacific Municipal Consultants (PMC) and Metropolitan
Planning Group (MPG) — and PMC best met the City's need for an experienced planner
with City planning review experience. A brief description of the firm and a résumé of the
Senior Consultant to be assigned to this project is shown in Attachment 2.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
The draft Professional Services Agreement in Attachment 1 is for a total not to exceed
$50,400, which is calculated from an hourly rate of$90, at 40 hours per week, for up to
14 weeks.
Submitted Approve by
rian Dolan -- Nelson Fialho
Director of ; City Manager
Community Development
Attachments:
1.
