In addition to the demand for single family products, workforce housing is needed to <br /> support our existing businesses as well as to continue to attract strong businesses to <br /> Pleasanton. Further, the development of EPSP will 1) help the school district with a <br /> requirement of development fees greater than the need for schools the housing would create <br /> and 2) development will ultimately open up a significant amount of land to parks and trails, <br /> land that is currently private and inaccessible. <br /> The above is just a thumbnail sketch of the reasons this Task Force work should be <br /> continued. The time and commitment of the Task Force members, neighbors, property <br /> owners and staff should be valued.
