THE CITY OF <br /> - CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> LEASANTONC <br /> March 4, 2014 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY ROSAS <br /> BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION FOR THE ANNUAL SIDEWALK <br /> REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CIP NO. 125012 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Annual Sidewalk Replacement project consisted of removing and replacing <br /> damaged concrete sidewalk that presented potential trip hazards, installing new <br /> intersection ramps for accessibility, and repairing curb and gutter for better drainage <br /> flow. Construction of the project is complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $8,387.38 to Rosas Brothers <br /> Construction thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize the transfer of the project unspent balance in the amount of $19,599 to <br /> the Street Capital Improvement Program (CIP) fund balance. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $190,000 as outlined in Attachment 1. Expenditures <br /> totaled $170,401, leaving an unspent balance of $19,599 in the CIP budget. Staff <br /> recommends the transfer of this unspent balance to the Street CIP fund balance. <br />
