Consider the formation of a City Council Legislative Advocacy Subcommittee and the appointment <br /> of two council members <br /> Vice-Mayor Pentin and Councilmember Cook-Kallio indicated their interest in serving on the committee. <br /> Mayor Thorne also indicated his interest, noting that in his role on the Board of Directors of the League <br /> of California Cities he is provided with expert analysis on all legislation. <br /> Councilmember Cook-Kallio respectfully pointed out that all members of the Council receive this <br /> information, but the purpose of the committee is to ensure that the Council is considering all information <br /> resources that are available. She said this particular committee is a true passion for her and felt her <br /> experience in legislative analysis would be of particular benefit. <br /> Vice-Mayor Pentin ceded his request to the Mayor. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s Narum/Pentin to authorize the formation of a City Council Legislative Advocacy <br /> Subcommittee and to appoint Councilmember Cook-Kallio and Mayor Thorne.
