THE CITY OF 1 4 <br /> r Wes.' <br /> m CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> LEASANTON© <br /> February 4, 2014 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT THE RESULTS OF THE FM3 CITIZEN SATISFACTION SURVEY <br /> AND PROPOSED PERFORMANCE EVALUATION METRICS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Pleasanton City Council on September 3, 2013, approved a contract with Fairbank, <br /> Maslin, Maulin, Metz & Associates (FM3) to prepare and conduct a survey of <br /> Pleasanton resident satisfaction with city services and quality of life. The survey was <br /> conducted on November 1-7, 2013. City residents remain very satisfied with the quality <br /> of life in Pleasanton, again producing the highest ratings seen. John Fairbank, President <br /> of FM3, will discuss the results in detail at the meeting. <br /> The survey provides baseline data for the performance of city staff both in terms of the <br /> ratings of Departments and in the evaluation of the overall professionalism, courtesy <br /> and competence of city employees. <br /> Also included in this report, are proposed performance metrics which, in coordination <br /> with ongoing survey data, can provide the community with a more informed and <br /> objective evaluation of the City's success in meeting the needs of the community. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends the City Council accept the report from FM3 and the proposed <br /> performance metrics. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> None <br />
