CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 892 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-15.03 (CHARGES) OF ARTICLE 1 <br /> (SEWER SERVICE CHARGES), CHAPTER 8 (SEWAGE), TITLE II (ZONING <br /> AND DEVELOPMENT) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RELATING TO SEWER SERVICE CHARGES <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 2-15.03 (Charges),. Article 1 (Sewer Service <br />Charges), Chapter 8 (Sewage), Title II (Zoning and Development) of <br />the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended in <br />its entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> § 2-15.03 Sewer Service Charges <br /> <br /> 1. Definitions <br /> For the purpose of §2-15.03, Article 1, Chapter 8, <br /> Title II, the following words and phrases shall have <br /> the meanings herein ascribed to them, unless the context <br /> specifically indicates otherwise: <br /> <br /> (a) BILLABLE PAP~J4ETERS: Those parameters (i.e., flow, <br /> BOD, SS, volume, I/I) for which the treatment works <br /> is designed to treat and for which average user charge <br /> unit costs are calculated. <br /> <br /> (b) BOD (denotes biochemical oxygen demand): The <br /> quantity of dissolved oxygen utilized in the biochemi- <br /> cal oxidation of organic matter under standard labora- <br /> tory in five days at 20 degrees centigrade. <br /> <br /> (c) CITY: The City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> (d) COMMERCIAL USER: Any nonresdential user that the <br /> Engineer determines introduces into the City's sewer <br /> system primarily segregated domestic wastes or wastes <br /> from sanitary conveniences. <br /> <br /> (e) DISTRICT: Dublin San Ramon Services District. <br /> <br /> (f) ENGINEER: The engineer of the City of Pleasanton <br /> or his designated representative, acting as ex-officio <br /> Engineer of the city. <br /> <br /> (g) FIXTURE UNIT: A quantity of sewage discharge that <br /> is 1/21st of a residential discharge equivalent. <br /> <br /> (h) FLOW: The wastewater flow occurring in one month. <br /> <br /> (i) INDUSTRIAL USER: Any user identified in the Standard <br /> Industrial Classification Manual, 1972, Office of Manage- <br /> ment and Budget, as now or hereafter amended or supple- <br /> <br /> <br />
