Vineyard Avenue The segment from Montevino Drive to Pietronave Lane consists of two divided lanes and has a speed limit of 40 mph. The segment directly to the east (Pietronave Lane to Machado Place) consists of two undivided lanes with a moderate horizontal curve at the western end of the segment. This segment has a posted limit of 45 mph. We are recommending that the two segments be modified so the first segment (Montevino Drive to Pietronave Lane) be extended to include the moderate horizontal curve. The new limits for the first segment would be from Montevino Drive to Vineyard Terrace with a speed limit of 40 mph, and the second segment would be Vineyard Terrace to Machado Place with a speed limit of 45 mph (see map below). This change will effectively reduce the speed limit from 45 mph to 40 mph from Pietronave Lane to Vineyard Terrace. The new road segment break will keep the more moderate curves all in the segment with the lower speed limit.
