Alameda County Altamant Landfill Open Space Fund <br /> Costieridge Property Acquisition <br /> Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park <br /> East Bay Regional Park District <br /> pledges to support the expansion of EBRPD's Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park as permanent <br /> open space for public recreation and the preservation of biological resources and scenic views. <br /> In its East County Area Plan, Alameda County details its commitment to protecting <br /> "...regionally significant open space and agricultural land from development." The plan vows to <br /> preserve sensitive open space areas for the preservation of biological resources and viewsheds <br /> and the development of trail connections to neighboring communities. <br /> 4. Additional Funding Sources <br /> The appraised fair market value of the Castleridge property is $2,400,000. The current <br /> property owners have generously agreed to sell the property to EBRPD for $2,200,000, a <br /> $200,000 discount. With a $1,000,000 grant from the Almmont Landfill Open Space Fund, <br /> EBRPD plans to use $1,200,000 in Measure WW funds to complete the transaction. <br /> S. Willing Seller <br /> EBRPD has reached an agreement with the owners to purchase the property for below its <br /> appraised fair market value. The property, appraised at $2,400,000, may be acquired by EBRPD <br /> from the Seller's for $2,200,000. A Purchase and Sale Agreement has been executed by the <br /> Seller and is anticipated to be approved by the EBRPD Board of Directors on September 3, <br /> 2013. <br />
