Maria Hoey
Subject: Sept. 26th mtg
Original Message
From: mary switzer
Sent: Wednesday, September 25, 2013 2:44 PM
To: Janice Stern
Subject: Sept. 26th mtg
Ms Stern;
I have two questions that I would like to be addressed. First, why the big push to develop
East Pleasanton so quickly when Pleasanton has already approved 1500 units around town that
have not been built. Who stands to benefit? Can't we wait to see how traffic, schools and
infrastructure shake out before we add another 1759 units? This could be catastrophic for
our middle and high schools, as well as traffic on Stanley, Valley, and the adjacent
freeways. Which leads me to my second concern. If One Bay Area, ABAG, and MTC are so
concerned abut traffic and greenhouse gasses and want to build around transit hubs such as
BART, southeast Pleasanton is about as far as you can get from our BART stations. And 1759
is a lot of housing units there.
May Switzer
1
