THE CITY OF 7 <br /> si° CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> £AS NTON. <br /> October 15, 2013 <br /> Operations Services Department <br /> TITLE: AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE <br /> RECONSTRUCTION AND RESURFACING OF TENNIS COURTS AT <br /> PLEASANTON TENNIS AND COMMUNITY PARK, C.I.P. NO. 138055 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Bids have been received for the project and staff is recommending award of the <br /> construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Vintage Contractors, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $165,000. The objective of the project is to return the original five (5) tennis <br /> courts at the Community Park to an "as new" condition; the courts are now more than <br /> 25 years old and are beginning to show their age. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to execute the construction contract for the project to <br /> Vintage Contractors, Inc., of San Francisco, California, for a low bid amount of $165,000 <br /> which includes a 10% contingency for the project. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The anticipated total expenditure for this project is $165,000, bid amount of $148,800 <br /> and contingency of $16,200, which is construction contingency of approximately 10%. <br /> Funds have been budgeted and are available from the Parks Capital Improvement <br /> Budget, Project No. 138055. <br />
