Public Hearing: P13-2097, City of Pleasanton — Introduced and wavied first reading of <br /> Ordinance No. 2080 amending Title 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to comply with the <br /> 2012 Pleasanton General Plan Housing Element pertaining to second units <br /> 8. Approved and authorized the City Manager fo execute a professional services agreement with <br /> InterNest Consulting Group, RK Associates, WC3 Inc., and 4LEAF, Inc. in the combined total <br /> amount of up to $500,000 to provide California Building and Fire Code plan review and inspection <br /> services <br /> 9. Approved plans and specification, reviewed bids, awarded and authorzed the City Manager to <br /> execute a construction contract to Phoenix Electric Company in the amount of $1,613,404.24 for <br /> the L.ED Street Light Retrofit project, CIP No. 135056: and authoized the Director of Community <br /> Development to approve and execute change orders not to exceed $161,233 <br /> Police <br /> 10. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with RCC Consultants in the <br /> amount of $70,694 for consolidated dispatch study for the Pleasanton and Livermore Police <br /> Departments <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Pentin to approve the Consent Calendar, as amended. Motion carried <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Cook-Kallio, Narum, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> 11. Public Comment <br /> Doug Miller announced the upcoming fundraiser on October 10, 2013 at Wente Vineyards to support <br /> wounded warriors. The VFW has raised nearly $100,000 to finance the event so that all ticket proceeds <br /> will go to the selected beneficiaries. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 14. Update on the Pioneer Cemetery Master Plan and approval of the formation of a seven (7) <br /> member Cemetery Master Plan Oversight Committee <br /> Kathleen Vurchak, Assistant Director of Operation Services presented the staff report, stating that the <br /> city acquired Pleasanton Memorial Gardens from the International Order of Odd Fellows in early 2007. <br /> Shortly thereafter the Pleasanton Pioneer Cemetery Committee requested that the city change its name <br /> to what is now known as Pleasanton Pioneer Cemetery, which better reflects the historical significance <br /> of the site and acknowledges the many pioneers and notable citizens at rest there. The city conducted <br /> several site improvements including renovation and refurbishing of the iron arch work at the entrance, <br /> debris removal, landscape maintenance and tree trimming, and also contracted with Catholic Funeral <br /> and Cemetery Services to provide burial and monument services. <br /> City Council Minutes Page 2 of 12 September 17, 2013 <br />
