5003.14 Required Systems. When emergency alarms, detection or automatic fire <br />extinguishing system is required by this code due to the storage, use or handling of <br />hazardous materials, such systems shall comply with Sections 2704.9 and 2704.10. <br />20.24.350 CFC Section 5004.10 amended — Supervision. <br />Section 2704.10 is amended to read: <br />5004.10 Supervision. Required emergency alarm, detection and automatic fire - <br />extinguishing systems shall be supervised by an approved central, proprietary or <br />remote station service. <br />20.24.360 CFC Section 5307.3 added — Liquefied carbon dioxide. <br />Section 5307.3 is added to read: <br />5307.3 Liquefied carbon dioxide. Storage, use and handling of liquefied carbon <br />dioxide shall comply with this section. <br />5307.3.1 Storage, use and handling. Storage, use and handling of liquefied <br />carbon dioxide shall comply with NFPA Standard 55, Chapter 13. <br />5307.3.2 Fill bibs. Approved, outside fill bibs shall be provided when containers <br />are filled on -site when required by the fire code official. <br />20.24.370 CFC Section 5402 and 202 amended — Definition, Corrosive. <br />Section 5402 and 202 Definition is amended to read: <br />CORROSIVE. A chemical that causes visible destruction of, or irreversible alterations <br />in, living tissue by chemical action at the point of contact. <br />1. A chemical shall be considered corrosive if, when tested on the intact skin of <br />albino rabbits by the method described in DOT 49 CFR 173.137, such chemical <br />destroys or changes irreversibly the structure of the tissue at the point of contact <br />following an exposure period of 4 hours. This term does not refer to action on <br />inanimate surfaces. <br />2. A liquid with a pH of 2 or less or 12.5 or more, except for foodstuffs and <br />medicines. <br />3. Any hazardous waste defined as corrosive by applicable hazardous waste <br />regulations <br />20.24.380 CFC Section 5608.2 added — Prohibition of Fireworks. <br />5608.2 Prohibition of Fireworks. It shall be unlawful for any person, corporation, or <br />entity to possess, store, offer for sale, expose for sale, sell at retail or wholesale, use or <br />explode any fireworks. <br />
