Section 506.1 is amended to read: <br />506.1 Where required. Where access to or within a structure or an area is restricted <br />because of secured openings or where immediate access is needed for life- saving or <br />fire - fighting purposes, the fire code official is authorized to require a key box to be <br />installed adjacent to the front or main entrance or other acceptable location /s to facilitate <br />emergency entry. Key box mounting height shall be 4 foot minimum above grade to 6 <br />foot maximum or as approved by the fire code official. <br />20.24.120 CFC Section 603.4 amended - Portable unvented heaters. <br />Section 603.4 is amended to read: <br />603.4 Portable unvented heaters. Portable unvented fuel -fired heating equipment <br />shall be prohibited in occupancies in Groups A, E, 1, R -1, R -2, R -2.1, R -3, R -3.1 and R- <br />4. Use of portable unvented heater in other occupancies shall be approved by the fire <br />code official. <br />[Balance to remain the same] <br />20.24.130 CFC Section 605.11 added — Immersion Heaters. <br />Section 605.12 is added to read: <br />605.12 Immersion heaters. All electrical immersion heaters used in dip tanks, sinks, <br />vats and similar operations shall be provided with approved over - temperature controls <br />and low liquid level electrical disconnects. Manual reset of required protection devices <br />shall be provided. <br />20.24.140 CFC Section 608.6.4 added — Failure of Ventilation System. <br />Section 608.6.4 is added to read: <br />608.6.4 Failure of ventilation system. Failure of the ventilation system shall <br />automatically disengage the charging system or other suitable fail -safe operation <br />acceptable to the fire code official. <br />20.24.150 CFC Section 903.2 amended — Automatic Sprinkler Systems Where <br />Required. <br />Section 903.2 is amended to read: <br />Section 903.2 Where required. Approved automatic fire extinguishing systems in new <br />buildings and structures shall be as provided in all new occupancies and locations. <br />Exception: Group U occupancies that do not exceed 200 square feet of floor area. <br />
