Mr. Huy A. Ho, P.E.
The City of Pleasanton
August 13, 2013
Page 4
COLLECTION SYSTEM DESIGN ASSUMPTIONS:
• The City has conducted a CCTV video inspection of the EARS pipeline End the City has
identified the "hot spots"; Carollo's review of the collection system T-Lok liner condition
will focus on the hot spots only.
• Snapshots of the CCTV video inspection will be added to the specificatic ns as an
appendix.
• The EARS and EATS trunk sewers will be connected at the following seven locations:
o The four existing drop manhole structures located at Hopyard and Stoneridge,
near the Chabot Canal and Stoneridge, Willow and Stoneridge, and Hacienda
and Stoneridge.
o The existing connection pipeline located near Stoneridge Road aid the Arroyo
Mocho canal.
o The existing manhole located near Santa Rita Road and Stonericge Drive.
o We will design a new manhole at the intersection of Hopyard and Stoneridge
Drive to connect the existing 18-inch sewer pipeline to the EARS pipeline. Note
the 18-inch pipeline connects to the EATS.
• Carollo assumes repair of the T-Lok liner within the existing manholes are simplistic and
will be completed from the inside of the manhole.
• The EARS pipeline repair work can be accomplished with a standard point repair and
ceiling of the T-Lok joints and detailed design is not necessary.
Refer to Figure #1 for an overview of the project.
