City's fiscal condition <br /> iv. public safety <br /> v. growth <br /> vi. local economy and jobs <br /> vii. the condition of City infrastructure (parks, streets, sidewalks, public buildings, <br /> etc.) <br /> 7. Determining residents' perceptions of City government: <br /> ➢ Do residents think their tax dollars are well-spent by City government and provide the <br /> quality of City services they expect and deserve? <br /> • Do residents regard Pleasanton's City government employees as competent, hard- <br /> working and "customer-friendly? <br /> 8. Exploring the relationship between the importance/priority residents place on <br /> individual City-provided services and residents' satisfaction with their delivery: <br /> ➢ Perceptions of importance and satisfaction are measured on quantitative scales, which <br /> allows the degree of importance/satisfaction for service functions to De characterized <br /> on a curve and sorted into high/high, high/low, low/high and low/low quadrants. <br /> ➢ The importance/satisfaction matrix is a tool for the City staff to compare City- <br /> provided services and identify possible needs for potential adjustment or reallocation <br /> of resources. <br /> 9. Examining residents' reactions to additional policy proposals being considered (or <br /> already implemented) by the City: <br /> h Do residents support or oppose possible ideas for addressing City -weds related to <br /> infrastructure, development, conservation/sustainability, parks, etc.? <br /> ➢ In what ways do residents want the City to prioritize resources as funding is cut at the <br /> state level and less revenue is likely to be collected due to a still fragile economic <br /> recovery? <br /> 10. Evaluating the City's communications with Pleasanton residents: <br /> Fairbank, <br /> Maslin, <br /> Maullin, <br /> Metz& <br /> Associates <br /> FM3 <br />
