EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The following is a general Scope of Work that is anticipated under the on <br /> call contract. It is anticipated that the detailed scope of work will be <br /> developed for each task in consultation with the selected consultant. <br /> The selected consultant's on-call services will include development and <br /> updates of the City bridge preventative maintenance program, bridge <br /> inspections, and project design activities which may include but are not <br /> limited to: <br /> 1. Provide project management and administration. <br /> 2. Develop a comprehensive transportation structures asset <br /> management program for all structures that have vehicle or <br /> pedestrian traffic above or below them greater than 36" in diameter. <br /> The program will be based on Caltrans Bridge Preventative <br /> Maintenance program but shall include local structures not included <br /> in the Caltrans program. The development of the program will <br /> include: bridge inventory, data research for record drawings and <br /> information, review of maintenance agreements, incorporation of <br /> existing inspection information, repair strategies, prioritization of <br /> repairs, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, etc. The goal is to have <br /> a document that can be updated as inspection and improvements <br /> are completed and new list of priorities are created. <br /> 3. Complete a comprehensive identification of all structures that <br /> should be included in the asset management program including <br /> bridges, pedestrian bridges, culverts, large diameter storm drains, <br /> etc. Brief site visits of all structures with photo documentation of <br /> existing conditions. <br /> 4. Conduct detailed inspection of local structures that are not included <br /> in Caltrans inventory. The inspection reports shall be done in <br /> conformance with Caltrans Element Level Inspection Manual. <br /> 5. Provide bridge load rating analysis as required. <br /> 6. Provide seismic evaluation for structures as required. <br /> 7. Prepare project construction plans in accordance with Caltrans <br /> current standards, HBP requirements and City's Standard <br /> Specification 2011. <br /> - 1 - <br />
