THE CITY OF 17 <br /> pL£ASANTON® CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> June 18, 2013 <br /> Operation Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF STREET SWEEPING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH <br /> CONTRACT SWEEPING SERVICES FOR CLEANING OF CITY STREETS <br /> AND PARKING LOTS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The FY2013/14 and FY2014/15 Operating Budget for Operations Services provides for <br /> contract street sweeping services. A Request for Quotation (RFC) was formally <br /> advertised in April of 2013 and a mandatory bidder's conference was held on April 16, <br /> 2013. A total of three (3) companies (exhibit 1) responded to the Request for Quotation <br /> by the due date of May 10th. Contract Sweeping Services was selected as the lowest <br /> qualified bidder. A scope of services to be provided by Contract Sweeping Services is <br /> detailed in the Request for Quotation, (exhibit 2). <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Maintenance and Trade <br /> Services Agreement (exhibit 3) in the amount of not to exceed $185,000 per FY. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The Operations Services Department administers this contract and has sufficient <br /> funding in the 2013/14 and FY2014/15 Fiscal Year budget under Miscellaneous <br /> Contracted Services identified in the Street Cleaning/Traffic Maintenance Program <br /> Code 335409. The proposed contract with Contract Sweeping Services is for a period <br /> of two (2) years, with a condition that allows for extensions of the contract for up to three <br /> (3) additional one (1) year extensions upon written agreement of both parties. <br />
