As a "Friends of the Alviso Adobe" (under the leadership of Dolores Bengtson), I believe the park has a lot of potential to offer a comprehensive interpretive experience for our Pleasantonians and Tri- Valley residents -- if the Alviso Adobe Park gets adequate increased funding to create a more comprehensive program for our citizens. Our "Friends" group has many ideas about ways to enhance this valuable Alviso Adobe Park, but we need your support to prioritize this Park. I am a 4th generation Pleasanton resident and my family ranched and farmed in the Mohr Avenue area(my great grandfather was Henry Mohr). I am excited to be involved with a"Friends" group in keeping our past history alive by offering educational programs on what it was like to live, farm and ranch in Pleasanton.
